I am a Certified Professional Midwife with a home birth practice in the Bay Area. I began this work eight years ago as a Certified Childbirth Educator, and quickly started attending births as a doula. Within the year, I was gifted with an apprenticeship at a free standing birth center with a certified nurse midwife, and continued for the next four years as a birth and postpartum doula/midwifery apprentice with a very successful doula practice.
In 2003, I completed a clinical and didactic internship at Casa De Naciento on the border of Juarez, Mexico where I attended over 64 births in the span of three months, and came home to begin working with Awakenings Birth Services; my dream come true!
Within my entire birthing career, I have attended over 275 births and come into these trainingswith a broad spectrum of experience, knowledge, and a belief that I can help make a difference in the world through these trainings. I am dedicated to providing a progressive, comprehensive, unique, and very heartfelt training to the new generation of doulas of our community. I am beside myself with joy that my daughter and I have been on, and coninue to be on this path together.
