I am a certified doula with over ten years experience with births in all settings. I started out on my journey into birthwork in my 21st year after attending a beginner's midwifery training that also came with a doula certification. After a year of attending births, I began a midwifery apprenticeship at a free standing birth center with a Certified Nurse Midwife as my preceptor. After two years of midwifery apprenticeship I decided that doula work and education was my passion and changed my focus back to supporting new families and mamas in the doula and educator role. Over the many years of my doula practice I have learned so many valuable lessons about taking care of new families, as well as myself and my doula community. I have a great record showing statistics of 95% unmedicated births for my many, many clients over the years. I am so very happy to be bringing all of this absolutely essential information to new doulas that I wish I had had in the beginning of my practice. Presently, my focus is on supporting families that are having planned homebirths, raising my amazing two year old daughter, and on childbirth education and doula training. I come into these trainings with a broad spectrum of knowledge and a deep devotion to helping women, their partners, and thier babies have the best most peaceful beginnings in their new lives together as a family.
