Homebirth for Doulas: - Thursday, January 14, 2010 - 6-9pm, - $50.00
Optimal Fetal Positioning - AN ABSOLUTE MUST for all labor doulas. In this training Liscensed Midwife Juli Tilsner and Doula/Childbirth Educator Nickie Tilsner will give you all the info that you will need to help your clients get their baby into an optimal position before labor to help prevent complications. You will also come away from this training with great tools to help your clients cope with malposition including posterior, asynclitic, and breech. There will be live pregnant models to learn palpation/leopold's maneuver.

Standardized testing and complications in pregnancy/ Differences in models of care and myths vs. realities:
In this training we go over in great depth ultrasound, GBS, Genetics testing, Gestational Diabetes, Pre-eclampsia, and many more complications and testing that your clients will need further information about. We will talk in depth about risks, benefits, realities, myths, and informed consent around these highly controversial tests. Taught by Juli Tilsner, Liscenced Homebirth Midwife.
